Streamline OPS Offers Flight Arrangements for SPIEF

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will be held on May 22-24 despite the fact that some US-based companies reported their inability to attend. A good number of incoming flights is expected and the airport authorities have confirmed readiness for the event.

All the traffic is expected to be served at the Pulkovo-1 newly finished terminal, which became fully operational in December of 2013. The total area of the terminal exceeds 110,000 square meters and it has a maximum capacity of 17 million passengers per year. Business aviation passengers will be served by the two business aviation terminals, opened a year ago and now fully operational.

Historic Hangar to be Saved by Museum

Members of the Connecticut Air & Space Center Museum have begun the process of cleaning and restoring the historic Curtiss Hangar at Sikorsky Memorial Airport. According to museum officials, the Curtiss Hangar is an integral part of Connecticut’s aviation history, a site visited by aviation pioneers such as Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Howard Hughes and Igor Sikorsky.
