In the first two installments of this three-part series, we discussed “Our FBO Business Outlook for 2012” and “Decreasing FBO Costs in 2012.” In this third part of our series we discuss ways to improve FBO productivity in 2012.
First of all, the key to executing any business initiative is to set realistic and achievable goals supported by workable strategies to accomplish these goals. As the P.J. Meyer quote suggests, intelligent planning and a focused effort are required. Here are three goals and supporting strategies we recommend to put you on the right productivity track for 2012:
Ocean Sky Jet Centre, part of the Ocean Sky Private Jet Group and operator of five premier FBOs in Europe, has announced a partnership with Avfuel Corporation to provide fuel and service solutions (Avfuel contract fuel, marketing support, the AVTRIP pilot incentive program and more) at Ocean Sky Jet Centre at London Luton Airport.
Directly accessible to central London, Ocean Sky Jet Centre at Luton anticipates a sizeable increase in traffic during the upcoming Summer Olympic Games. Avfuel’s four decades of experience in supply and logistics will be a valuable asset. According to Ocean Sky Jet Centre Sales and Marketing Director Natalie Raper, “We are very much looking forward to working with Avfuel as the partnership will further strengthen Ocean Sky’s relationship with all customers flying into London Luton Airport, particularly those from the US.”

Business Jet Access (BJA), a leading aircraft services provider, has named aviation veteran Jeff Curry as Managing Director. In this new position, Curry is responsible for overseeing both the technical and business divisions. He will report to Brian Hoffman, General Manager, Business Jet Access.
Prior to joining Business Jet Access, Curry served as Business Unit Manager with Pratt & Whitney at their Grand Prairie, Texas, facility. A 25 year aviation services veteran, Curry also held key positions of increasing responsibility with Gulfstream Aerospace including Aircraft Completions Manager.
Curry obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He also holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
