Great Bend Airfest Brings Warbird Ride Opportunities

The Great Bend Airfest (at KGBD) is officially scheduled for September 18-20, 2015. As plans and schedules are being finalized, Airport Manager Martin Miller announces early reservation opportunities for those interested in vintage warbird rides during the show.  The 2015 Airfest will include 17 different warbirds, and six of these will be offering rides to the public.  Early booking is available online for the B-29 FiFi, the B-25 Miss Mitchell, and the P-51 Gunfighter.  FiFi is scheduled to fly in the morning each day with a range of 7 seating prices, all of which are discounted if purchased prior to the event.

Runway and Apron Restoration Complete

Pilots can expect smoother landings into beautiful Heber City (K36U) following OK3 AIR’s closure for essential runway and apron refurbishment. OK3 AIR, the full-service FBO serving Park City, Deer Valley and Heber City tentatively reopens on June 6, 2015, for daylight operations only; construction still continues on the field lighting electrical system.
