Lancaster Airport Authority Takes over LNS Alliance Aviation as Avfuel-Branded Dealer

LNS Alliance Aviation (LNS) announced that the recent transfer of ownership to the Lancaster (Pa.) Airport Authority has been a smooth transition and an unqualified success. As of September 2008, LNS Alliance Aviation is overseen by Airport Director David Eberly, Jr.

Customers and FBO staff alike have reported that the new management’s increased emphasis on customer service is a welcome improvement at Lancaster Airport. Because LNS Alliance Aviation is the sole fuel supplier on the field, the enhanced focus on aviation fueling ensures that the FBO consistently provides all visiting aircraft with fast, attentive service.

“We’re already very pleased with the response we’ve gotten with this FBO,” Joyce Opp, finance and marketing director, said.

LNS Alliance Aviation offers customers a range of amenities and services, including a comfortable pilots’ lounge with snooze room, pool table, DTV, internet and print capabilities. Staff will transport visitors to Lancaster Airport’s large number of attractions, including restaurant and a movie theater. By request, pilots may obtain concierge services and aircraft catering.

With more than 20 businesses located at the Lancaster Airport, visitors have everything they need, either at LNS Alliance Aviation or nearby. On-field businesses include the best in avionics repair, interiors, maintenance, sales, car rental, four flight schools and even hot air balloon operators.

“It’s a one-stop shop,” Opp said of the full bevy of offerings.

The growing town of Lancaster is similarly well-equipped for business and leisure travelers. As the home of the Pennsylvania Dutch community, the town itself enjoys 8 million tourists every year. Lancaster Airport is also only 20 minutes from the famous town of Hershey and its many chocolate- and nonchocolate-themed attractions.
