Heritage Aviation at KBTV Introduces 24-Hour Service and Goes Green
/Heritage Aviation, a world-class FBO at KBTV, is now fully operational and open around the clock, 365 days a year with U.S. Customs on site.
The comfortable 79,300 square foot facility has already received national recognition for its commitment to renewable energy and environmental sustainability. For ground equipment, Heritage Aviation uses:
- Forced air de-icing
- LEKTRO tugs and GEM battery electric vehicles
- A Toyota Prius crew car
- Ground vehicles that run on biodiesel.
Heritage Aviation was formerly a National Guard facility first built in 1954. Heritage retained the concrete and steel skeleton. Recycled, reclaimed and renewable materials were used wherever possible, from the building’s exterior siding to interior upholstery fabrics and furnishings.
In addition to a well-appointed customer reception area with an atrium and coffee bar, Heritage Aviation has:
- A spacious pilots’ lounge and cinema
- Snooze rooms
- Fitness center
- Weather and briefing areas
- Ample hangar space
- Conference rooms
- Free coffee, Wi-Fi and all amenities.
A rooftop observation deck offers spectacular views of Vermont’s Green Mountains and the Champlain Valley. Heritage Aviation also offers a free iPhone app to request FBO services directly from your iPhone.
Heritage Aviation at Burlington International Airport is close to Canada. With U.S. Customs available on site, it is ideally situated for inbound and outbound international traffic. Heritage Aviation has an FAA-certified repair station and avionics facility on site to make it KBTV’s 24-hour full-service FBO.
