Heritage Aviation at KBTV originally housed a National Guard facility. Heritage kept the original concrete and steel skeleton and added recycled, reclaimed and renewable materials when possible.Heritage Aviation, a world-class FBO at KBTV, is now fully operational and open around the clock, 365 days a year with U.S. Customs on site.

Heritage Aviation services a King Air with forced air de-icing.The comfortable 79,300 square foot facility has already received national recognition for its commitment to renewable energy and environmental sustainability. For ground equipment, Heritage Aviation uses:

  • Forced air de-icing
  • LEKTRO tugs and GEM battery electric vehicles
  • A Toyota Prius crew car
  • Ground vehicles that run on biodiesel.

Heritage Aviation uses electricity generated by this wind turbine as well as photovoltaic panels.Heritage Aviation was formerly a National Guard facility first built in 1954. Heritage retained the concrete and steel skeleton. Recycled, reclaimed and renewable materials were used wherever possible, from the building’s exterior siding to interior upholstery fabrics and furnishings.
