KWIK-TURN: AC-U-KWIK's Q&A Session With Guest Peggy Zaun Of AirFlite

Q: Aside from your fuel prices, what attracts people back to your FBO?

A: AirFlite has a reputation for excellent Customer Service, an award winning facility, and unique amenities.

Q: Have you introduced any new products or services in the past 12 months?

A: The AirFlite lobby was completely remodeled, a new automated Customer Service tracking system was implemented, and AirFlite joined the World Fuel AirElite FBO system.

Q: What is your opinion on the current state of business aviation?

A: There has been modest improvement in the aircraft traffic and fuel sales to AirFlite at the Long Beach Airport over the past 12 months. It appears that business aviation across the board is on an upswing. We have seen more charter activity, which is always a positive sign. We are also the host FBO for The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach every April and this year we were glad to see more activity than we have experienced the past few years. We had a few aircraft from Mexico and Canada during the Grand Prix as well as more aircraft associated with the race teams than in recent years. All in all, we are excited for what appears to be a gradual increase in business.

Q: What is your wish list for the future of your FBO or business aviation in general?

A: We hope to fill our available hangar space and that business will continue to realize the importance of aviation and utilize their aircraft.

Q: What is the strangest situation or an interesting fact about your FBO?

A: AirFlite has been consistently voted one of the Top 10 FBOs in North American for the past 21 years.
