Queenstown Corporate Jet Services Open for Business

Representatives from the Government, aviation industry and local tourism businesses came together to toast the official opening of Queenstown Airport’s new mini corporate jet terminal today.
The Rt Hon Bill English did the honours, cutting the ribbon and declaring the facility “officially open for business.”
Developed by Rob Leach and Peter Van Dyk of Air Center One and Capital Jet Services, the mini terminal is located adjacent to the airport’s international reclaim area.
The dedicated Queenstown Corporate Jet Services team aims to provide a world-class premium service for corporate jet passengers arriving and departing Queenstown. Staff will welcome, host and process passengers through the facility to ensure a quick, smooth transition from plane to destination.
Air Center One and Queenstown Corporate Jet Services Director Rob Leach says opening the dedicated facility has been very timely.
“March was the busiest month we’ve ever had for corporate jet activity. We had 24 of our clients jets through Queenstown out of a total of 34 visiting New Zealand." Leach said. "Forward bookings show that there’s strong demand from the corporate jet visitor market to visit Queenstown and enjoy the beautiful scenery and world-class experiences on offer.”
QAC CEO Scott Paterson congratulated the Corporate Jet Services team and said the new facility was an exciting first step in enhancing the airport’s premium facilities.
“While this is an interim solution for the next three years pending the resolution of our land acquisition plans." Paterson said. "It’s a big step forward in enhancing our corporate passenger experience and positioning Queenstown as a key New Zealand gateway for premium visitors.”
