American Aero Hosts Seventh Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive

Instead of airplanes, Hangar 11N at Meacham International Airport was recently filled with holiday tables and rows of bicycles, as guests of the seventh annual American Aero FTW holiday luncheon filed in with their own gifts to brighten the holidays for children in need.

American Aero’s annual celebration benefits the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. This year nearly 200 toys and bikes were donated by American Aero and its clients, tenants, vendors, and area first responders. Since opening its doors in 2012, American Aero has purchased more than 600 bicycles and helped gather another 1,400 gifts.

In addition to supporting Toys for Tots, American Aero has contributed $116,000 over the years to the Navy SEAL Foundation, with funds earmarked to support scholarships for SEALs interested in earning a pilot certification.

American Aero FTW is a fixed-base operator (FBO) located at Meacham International Airport (KFTW) in Fort Worth, Texas. The business is focused on refueling, ground handling, servicing, and storing of business and private aviation aircraft and provides extensive crew and passenger amenities.
