Howard Povey Joins Marshall Business Aviation as Sales Director

Marshall Aerospace has appointed Howard Povey, head of aircraft sales and brokerage at Marshall Business Aviation. Based at its Cambridge Airport, UK headquarters, the new business will focus initially on acquiring and selling pre-owned business jets and turboprops. Povey will head the new operation and he joins the company's management team as sales director on 5th November and will be based at Cambridge Airport and will report to managing director of Marshall Business Aviation (MBA) and Marshall Executive Aviation (MEA), Steve Jones.

Marshall Business Aviation has opened a technical support office at London Luton Airport within the Harrods Aviation facilities. Hawthorne Global Aviation Services FBO Expands in New Orleans (NEW), Plans for the Future

Hawthorne Global Aviation Services has acquired its second FBO and first in the Gulf Coast area. The South Carolina-based company, which has an 80-year heritage in aviation, purchased a controlling interest in the AeroPremier facility at New Orleans Lakefront Airport and has rebranded it as a Hawthorne property. The location, which completed extensive renovations earlier this year, has more than 50,000 sq. ft. of hangar space and can accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Global Express. Earlier this year, Hawthorne acquired the ExcelAire FBO at MacArthur Airport on Long Island, N.Y.

The nearly $1 million project included a terminal remodel with an updated executive conference room and bistro area, as well as hangar updates. Terminal renovations included new paint, carpet, tile, furniture and fixtures.
