Jet Sources Marketing Manager Advances to Director of Sales and Marketing
/Jet Source, a full-service aviation firm, headquartered at the McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, Calif., has promoted Debi Carlston from its marketing manager to its new Director of Sales & Marketing. After five years at Jet Source, during which she has held various positions and secured numerous achievements on behalf of the company, Carlston was officially instated as Director of Sales & Marketing on Jan. 1, 2008.
In this new position, Carlston’s responsibilities have shifted away from operational and administrative duties as she begins to focus on developing strategies and implementing tactics towards greater sales results. She will be directing and managing all advertising and marketing efforts on behalf of the entire Company, including its future second location in Henderson, Nev., planned to open in 2009.
“Debi Carlston understands, appreciates and shares our vision for the future of Jet Source, and has always demonstrated tremendous work ethic to achieve our goals,” said Frank Milian, president and COO at Jet Source. “She is an incredible asset to the Company and we are so very proud and appreciative of all that she brings to our team. I am certain of her abilities to lead the marketing and sales departments and am confident she will help position our brand as the next generation leader in aviation."
Not surprisingly Carlston already has objectives in place for her new role, including enhancing the company’s client relations program, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness between the sales and marketing departments; enhancing customer benefits and increasing service offerings; and more. She is determined to create systems that generate avenues to learn what clients truly want and delivering services that exceed their expectations.
Since joining Jet Source on Jan. 1, 2003, Carlston has been instrumental in advancing all aspects of the Company. Her vision and creativity throughout all departments has played a vital role in accomplishing many of its greatest milestones and achievements. Over the last four years, Jet Source has experienced 177 percent growth and continues to expand its scope of offerings to a broad client base. In 2004, 2006 and 2007, the company’s FBO was ranked among the Top 40 in the Americas and its Avionics Center ranked in the Nation’s Top 10. Additionally, Jet Source is an FAA-certified Aircraft Maintenance Repair Facility and a Class I, II and III Avionics Repair Station, and its charter business has secured an impressive ARG/US Platinum Rating.
Under her direction, Jet Source has also become highly involved with the community and various charities, including the American Heart Association and Casa De Amparo. Carlston also supports the efforts and direction of Palomar Airport and recently served on the customs committee to provide greater efficiency for multinational business travel. As of this month, Palomar Airport-based FBOs will begin offering customs clearance service on a pay for service basis to aircraft returning from out of the country, thanks to the combined effort of the County Department of Airports and the Department of Homeland Security. She also led the direction of the rebrand of Jet Source including a completely new identity package and Website to better reflect the Company’s industry leadership positioning.
“My mission is to make sure clients’ expectations are exceeded and build new clientele by sharing our values and client experience with new audiences,” said Carlston. “I am grateful to work alongside some of the industry’s most notable leaders and look forward to our continued team success.”
