Augusta Regional Airport Aviation Services (AGS) at Bush Field is currently gearing up for the annual Masters Tournament held April 6-12, 2009. With a dedication to quick, convenient and thorough customer and aircraft services, AGS has served the golf tournament’s spectators from all over the world for many years. This year, the AGS is offering an Avfuel AVTRIP promotion of bonus points to pilots refueling at the FBO between April 6 and 13.
Augusta Regional Airport Aviation Services is an FBO owned and operated by the city of Augusta, Ga. The goal of this FBO is to provide guests with timely, professional, efficient and courteous service in an environment that is both secure and private. The FBO focuses on customer service as well as fair prices for fuel and services. Equipped with a comfortable passenger lounge, conference room and snack bar, the FBO provides a welcome respite for travelers. Pilots have access to their own lounge, flight planning, courtesy transportation, a snooze room and showers.
“We want each customer to feel that he or she is the only customer that we have,” supervisor William E. Thompson said. “If there is any problem, I want him or her to know that I take it seriously and will find a way to fix it.”
The FBO’s linemen are professionals with an average of eight years of experience serving general aviation, commercial and military aircraft. The flying public can use the airport year-round with available instrument approaches. Aircraft services include quick turns, a large ramp and overnight hangar space. As an AVNET dealer, Aviation Services is proud to participate in Avfuel’s AVTRIP program.
Visitors to AGS are typically drawn by business, military (Fort Gordon and Eisenhower Army Medical Center), Fort Discovery (National Science Center’s headquarters) and government concerns, or a little leisure time at one of numerous nearby golf clubs, such as Augusta National Golf Club. In fact, the airport is located only 10 minutes from downtown Augusta and 15 minutes from Augusta National.
