Chuck Speakman Accepts Position at Hangar63

Chuck Speakman recently accepted the position of store manager at Hangar63.Chuck Speakman recently accepted the position of store manager at Hangar63 (Banyan’s Aviation Store) located at Executive Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Previously employed by ACR Electronics, Speakman was responsible for sales and technical training for all dealers and distributors across North America. Prior to that, he managed retail stores for West Marine at several locations in Southeast Florida.

“Chuck brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and energy to this position,” said Nancy Bouvier, Banyan’s Director of Marketing. “He is already in the process of planning the 3rd Annual Hangar63 Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 18, 2009.”

Hangar63 is one of the largest aviation stores in the country. The entrance features a compass rose inlaid in the floor, propellers jutting out from the wall and runway lighting that sets off runway 13-31 down the center of the store. An electronics tower features portable electronics from Motion Computing, Garmin, ICOM, VistaNav, Anywhere Map and ACR. Hangar63 also offers training aids, basic pilot supplies and accessories, apparel, children’s items, and a large collection of remote control aircraft and gift items. In addition, the store offers general aviation parts including Cessna, Piper and Beechcraft.

For fly-in visitors, the store is conveniently located ramp-side at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. For drive-in visitors, the store is located just off Commercial Boulevard at 5320 NW 20th Terrace at Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport, next to Banyan’s FBO terminal building.
