Bakersfield Jet Center by Loyd’s Aviation (BFL) Celebrates the Grand Opening of its New FBO Facility, Field Location and New Name

Avfuel-branded dealer Loyd’s Aviation is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new FBO facility, field location and new name: Bakersfield Jet Center by Loyd’s Aviation. Located on the same airport as before, the new field location and new FBO facility increases the company’s visibility to out-of-town customers and creates more opportunities for servicing larger aircraft. The expanded operation location effectively shifts aircraft fueling and line services to the front line, placing them in an ideal and accessible position. A remodeled ramp will accommodate more and larger aircraft as well, creating 3.5 acres of parking space.

Loyd’s Aviation began the renovation of the 5,000-square-foot facility in November 2008, intending to move to its new location and take on its new name in 2009. In only four months, work was completed and Bakersfield Jet Center was opened for business. Bakersfield Jet Center is a stunning example of a modern, full service facility for corporate air travel and general aviation needs. Customers can sit comfortably in a Spanish-style lobby and sip a complimentary specialty beverage of preference. Meanwhile pilots can take a snooze in the pilot’s lounge or map a flight in the state-of-the-art flight planning room. Bakersfield Jet Center offers complimentary on-site travel service, including rental cars, crew cars, catering, hotel reservations and entertainment bookings.

“As we expand our fixed-based operation (FBO) facility, we focus on creating a first-class experience that will meet the needs of today’s growing and diverse aviation community,” said Steve Loyd, President and Owner of Loyd’s Aviation. “This new full-service facility will be marked with style and comfort and will continue to provide the old-fashioned customer service Loyd’s Aviation is famous for!”
