Capital City Jet Center Stresses Customer Service in Columbus

Capital City Jet Center at TZR can service aircraft from Cessna 150s through business jets.Since Bolton Field opened in Columbus, Ohio, in 1969, several companies have provided FBO services there. But none established a true high-end corporate jet facility.

At times, good customer service was nonexistent. Aircraft would land, pull up to the gate and be greeted by an empty passenger terminal. The flight crews would be left to wander around the airport looking for line service, only to be told, “Sorry, we’re out of fuel.”

Those days have changed.

When Capital City Jet Center opened for business on Oct. 1, 2006, the goal was to provide a first-class corporate FBO at Bolton Field (KTZR). CCJC has succeeded.

Visitors to CCJC experience the same level of service one can expect at a fine hotel.

When an aircraft pulls up on the ramp, Ken Riggs or one of his staff of well trained, professional, line service technicians meets the craft. CCJC is also an Avfuel dealer.

Once inside, Brenda Clemens and her staff make visitors feel at home. They can provide passengers and crew with all the amenities expect from any top-notch FBO. Services from catering and rental cars to hotel and restaurant reservations are available.

CCJC also has a comfortable, quiet crew lounge with DirecTV, oversize recliners and complimentary snacks and beverages. Two courtesy cars are available for either crew or passenger use.

Capital City Jet Center also offers a maintenance shop to provide either a quick fix or full inspection services from Cessna 150 to the latest business jet. Keith Thogmartin and his staff of maintenance technicians have more than 60 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

For charter operators or brokers in need of additional lift capability, CCJC offers a Citation Excel for charter and will soon be expanding its fleet. John Keller and his staff can provide the best charter experience available.

CCJC can help people learn to fly, too. A Part 61 flight school is just one more service offered. Training is available from private pilot through certified flight instructor.
