Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (SHD) Joins Avfuel Network
/Avfuel Corp. and Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport have announced a new branding alliance.
Under the agreement, Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport is now an Avfuel-branded dealer that offers both the AVTRIP rewards program and the Avfuel Contract Fuel program for jet fuel savings. As an Avnet Premier FBO, SHD offers extraordinary amenities and services as well as around-the-clock customer service.
“Avfuel has innovative programs, a great network, and provides great support to their dealers,” executive director Greg Campbell said.
Located minutes from bustling business districts, eight colleges and universities, and a collection of
wineries, parks, resorts, historical sites and cultural offerings, Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport offers an ideal entry point for both business travelers and tourists. SHD is a vital component to the economic development of the central Shenandoah Valley because it provides easy access to numerous major industries and distribution centers. The location just outside the Washington Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) makes Shenandoah Valley an ideal stop for military and general aviation traffic traveling along the east coast.
“We offer service that exceeds all expectations for comfort and convenience every time,” Campbell said.
The newly remodeled Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport general aviation facility offers a full lineup of amenities and productivity tools, including flight planning with WSI, phone/data lines, a comfortable pilot lounge and sleep room, a pilot kitchen and a spacious conference room. In the pilot lounge, pilots can enjoy a large screen HD TV, recliners and a work area. The café in the nearby airline terminal offers food and an inviting atmosphere to all customers.
Crew cars are available with fuel purchase, and complimentary beverages, ice and more are available in the pilot kitchen. Full ground services and concierge services for catering, rental cars and hotel are available.
There is also a shuttle to and from the airport and surrounding areas.
Aviation visitors will benefit from a runway repaved in 2009 and a major overhaul to the GA terminal
in 2005. Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport is also undergoing an apron repaving set to be completed in 2010.
