Avfuel Teams Up with Duncan Aviation, Garsite, Cessna to Assist with Cessna Citation Special Olympics Airlift
/Avfuel Corporation has announced its participation as volunteer in this weekend’s airlift bearing athletes to the Special Olympics USA National Games this weekend.
Avfuel is working in tandem with Duncan Aviation (LNK), Garsite and Cessna Aircraft to help streamline incoming aviation operations.
Cessna coordinates the airlift, which takes place July 17 and 24. It ranks as the largest peacetime airlift in the world and will ferry over 2,000 athletes in the two day period. Cessna Citation aircraft owners volunteer their aircraft and flight crews to the cause.
“Avfuel will be contributing staff, point-of-sale operations support and a steep fuel discount to owner/operators of the jets bringing in the athletes,” said Avfuel Director of Marketing Marci Ammerman. “We’re proud to be able to contribute to this important event year after year.”
