Tampa Jet Center Snags Top Ranking

In addition to its No. 1 ranking in the state, Tampa International Jet Center, located at Tampa International Airport, ranked in the top 5% of all FBOs in the Americas, according to the the trade publication’s survey. The jet center received an overall average score of 9.4 out of 10 from its users. Only one operator in the western hemisphere, JA Air Center in Sugar Grove, Ill., scored better with a 9.5.

Second on the list for the Gulf Coast area was Rectrix Aerodrome Center, at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. This operator scored in the top 20% of FBOs in the Americas in the survey, with an average score of 8.9.

Base Ops at Page Field ranked in the top 30% of operators in the Americas, with an average score of 8.6. Other Gulf Coast FBOs in the survey include the Naples Airport Authority, with an average score of 8.2, and Landmark Aviation in Tampa, with an average score of 7.7.

Each year, the Aviation International News asks customers of FBOs in each hemisphere to rate them based on line service, passenger amenities, pilot amenities and facilities. Participants assign each FBO they’ve visited a score from 1 to 10. This survey included FBOs in the western hemisphere, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
