NBAA Announces Recipients of 2014 Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship Awards
/The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and its Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Committee have announced that $49,480 in scholarship funds have been awarded to nine individuals seeking to advance their aviation careers through continuing education. These individuals were recognized during the 2014 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference (SDC2014), which took place from Jan. 15 to 17 in New Orleans, LA.
AC-U-KWIK, Chevron USA, Inc., Jet Aviation, McKinley Air, Inc., Rockwell Collins Flight Information Solutions, Signature Flight Support and Universal Weather and Aviation Inc. generously donated funding toward the awards this year.
The 2014 scholarship recipients are:

• Carling Filewich, Aurora Jet Partners
• Sandy Frentz, The Duchossois Group
• Jennifer Frizzell, Coca-Cola Company
• Jonathan Hanna, Jet America
• Kimberly Marcus, Hess Corporation
• Anita McEntarffer, Nike, Inc.
• Cade Schalla, BaseOps International
• Allie Smith, EPPS Aviation
NBAA's S&D Committee offers scholarships through two separate but related programs that specifically promote professional and career development for business aviation schedulers and dispatchers.
Through the Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship Program, the committee offers cash grants, which can be used for a variety of professional development initiatives. Since 1997, more than $540,000 has been awarded to schedulers and dispatchers through this program.
A separate Schedulers & Dispatchers Training Scholarship Program, initiated in 2004, offers opportunities for scholarship recipients to gain access to hands-on teaching initiatives.
