Avidyne Announces “Dream Panel Giveaway” Sweepstakes Winners

Avidyne Corporation has announced the winners in their $55,000 Dream Panel Giveaway sweepstakes. 

Our Grand Prize winner was David Mullins of Texas, who won a full IFR- and ADS-B-compliant Avidyne avionics stack including IFD540 and IFD440 FMS /GPS/ NAV/ COMs, AMX240 Audio Panel with six-place vox intercom, AXP322 Remote-mount Mode S Transponder with ADS-B Out,  and a SkyTrax100 ADS-B In receiver with a total value of $42,395.  Mullins has chosen Clear Star Aviation of Addison, Texas, to perform complete the upgrade to his Cirrus SR22.

“I use my Cirrus a lot and love the easy-to-use Avidyne PFD and MFD displays, so it will be great to get the IFDs installed.  I think the IFD540 is simply a terrific piece of avionics,” said David Mullins.  “Clear Star Aviation is an Avidyne Platinum Dealer with a great reputation and a lot of experience with Avidyne installations, so while I am at it, and I am going to also have them add in a new DFC90 digital autopilot to round out the stack.  I am really looking forward to flying my new Dream Panel.” 

The 2nd Prize winner was Craig Johnston of New Jersey, who won an IFD440 with WiFi./Bluetooth & FLTA, plus an iPad valued at over $15,295! Johnston will be having his new IFD440 installed in his Saratoga by Smart Aviation in Marietta, PA.  

“The IFD440 will fit nicely in the panel of my Saratoga,” said Craig Johnston.  “I really like the IFD440, with its integrated wireless capability that links up to the iPad for big screen capability. The IFD440 is a terrific system for a large number of GA airplanes out there and I believe it will really enhance my flying experience.”

Avidyne’s Dream Panel Giveaway promotion was launched on May 2, 2016 and ran through September 30, 2016 for owners of U.S.- and Canadian-registered aircraft. There was no cost and no purchase necessary to enter.
