Spring City Aviation Acquires Gran-Aire, Inc.

Spring City Aviation announced the acquisition of Gran Aire, Inc., the previous Fixed Base Operator and a fixture at Milwaukee’s Lawrence J. Timmerman airport since 1946.

The acquisition enhances Spring City Aviation’s repertoire of aviation services, retaining flight training, aircraft charter and aircraft sales and acquisitions services while adding fuel sales for both piston and turbine-engine powered aircraft, a large aircraft parts inventory, branded aircraft maintenance, and extensive aircraft hangar rental. The addition of Milwaukee Timmerman adds to current Spring City Aviation locations at the Waukesha County and Burlington airports.

The move has been vetted and approved by Milwaukee County, and a new lease was assigned to Spring City Aviation on Dec. 16, 2016.

“Spring City Aviation is excited to be the new Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Lawrence J. Timmerman airport, and we believe this acquisition will allow us to better serve existing and new customers, as well as materially increase the number of aircraft operations at LJTA”, said Gavin Leake, General Manager of Spring City Aviation at Milwaukee Timmerman.
