AIR Convention Europe 2019, held in Vilnius, Lithuania, has announced the bi-annual Aviation Industry Awards winners.
150,000 votes were cast to identify the most influential organizations in two categories: Business and Innovation. Out of thirty second-round finalists, ten companies were hailed as winners.
- Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year: Airbus
- Airport of the Year: George Best Belfast City Airport.
- Long Haul Carrier of the Year: Lufthansa
- Low-Cost of the Year: Wizz Air award.
- Pilot Training Center of the Year: OSM Aviation Academy
- Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year: Air Italy
- Best Eco Product: SAS - Scandinavian Airlines.
- Breakthrough of the Year: EuroAtlantic Airways – Transportes Aéreos.
- Most Captivating Marketing Project: Air Italy
- Step Forward in Aviation Training: OSM Aviation Academy
