Gerald R. Ford Intl Airport (KGRR) Breaks Ground on Avflight FBO Facility

The Gerald R. Ford International Airport (KGRR) and Avflight held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new FBO and hangar on a five-acre leased parcel at the Airport.  

The new facility will include a 5,000 square foot FBO building, plus a 30,000 square foot hangar located on the airport’s east side with access to the terminal and taxiways/runways as well as the local highway system. Other services will include indoor car parking, secured access, and 1,650 square feet of office space with the ability to build to suit.

Avflight, with 21 locations worldwide, plans to add 30+ new jobs and will make a $6-to-$7 million capital investment at KGRR. The new facility is expected to open Spring 2020.
