Cambridge Airport Opens for Local Events

Cambridge City Airport (EGSC) will be open on a few additional dates and hours this summer to meet customer demand for Newmarket race days and Duxford air shows.

The dates include the first two Classics horse races of the season – the 2000 Guineas on Saturday, May 2 and 1000 Guineas on Sunday, May 3, and the Moët & Chandon July Festival between Thursday, July 9 and Saturday, July 11 at Newmarket, as well as Duxford Air Festival on the weekend of May 23-24.

The airport will also be open on Saturday, May 9.

The airport will be open to private executive aircraft, both chartered and privately owned, as well as equine cargo on the additional dates. Further opening dates may be added to the airport calendar later on in the year.
