Fargo Jet Center Promotes Rick Omang and Bobby Meyers
/Fargo Jet Center (FJC) has promoted Rick Omang to Director of Operations and Bobby Meyers to Chief Pilot. Omang has been with the FJC charter department for six years and has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. Meyers has been a part of FJC for seven years, holding positions as a flight instructor and in the charter department, and has 15 years of experience in the aviation industry.
In their new positions, Omang and Meyers are responsible for maintaining safe and professional flight operations by ensuring the charter fleet is maintained to the highest degree of standards, in addition to conducting pre and post-flight duties, and management of the hiring, scheduling, and training of all charter pilots.
Omang has flown over 5,000 hours and has pilot experience in a wide range of aircraft including F-16, C-21, Lear 60, B737, and King Air. He joined the North Dakota Air National Guard while also studying at North Dakota State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Rick holds Learjet and B-737 type ratings and retired from the military in 2012 after 29 years as an armament technician and pilot.
Meyers also has over 5,000 hours of flight time and has pilot experience in Learjet and King Air aircraft. Meyers studied at the University of North Dakota and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics Commercial Aviation. Furthermore, Bobby holds an ATP certificate, Learjet and BE300 type ratings.
