Skytech Celebrates 45 Years and Grows Executive Leadership Team

Skytech, inc., a privately owned General Aviation sales, service, FBO, and management/charter organization celebrating their 45th year in business in 2021, has announced several executive leadership changes.

John Foster, former President of Skytech, inc. has officially stepped into the position of Chairman and CEO after leading the daily operations for the last 22 years.  Under John’s care, Skytech has increased its sales footprint and offerings, added two FBOs (Charlotte and Baltimore Metro areas), and entered the world of Aircraft Management and Charter.

Justin Lazzeri, a nearly 20-year Skytech veteran and former Vice President, Aircraft Operations, is assuming the role of President.  Lazzeri holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings, as well as a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Starting as a part-time company pilot, he eventually moved into a full-time position as Skytech’s Director of Marketing – a role he continued to fill for over 16 years.  He was integral in the successful development of Skytech’s Aircraft Charter and Management Departments, which included adding the East Coast’s first Part 135 Pilatus PC-24.

Rick Shepard, also with Skytech for 20 years and formerly the Vice President of FBO Operations, is stepping into the Executive Vice President, Operations position where he will oversee both the FBO and Flight departments – which includes charter and aircraft management.  Shepard holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings and has recently completed a PC-24 SIC checkout.  An alumnus of Winthrop University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, along with an Associates in Arts degree from York Technical College.

Rounding out Skytech’s Executive Team is David Conover (Senior Executive Vice President & Sales Manager), Preston Estes (Vice President, Service), and Ann Parks (Vice President, Administration).  Combined, Skytech’s Executive Team brings over 173 years of General Aviation experience to the table.
