Phillips 66 Aviation and Phillips 66 Lubricants Take Flight at SUN ‘n FUN
/Phillips 66® Aviation and Phillips 66® Lubricants took off at this year’s SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo, bringing their expertise and passion to thousands of aviation enthusiasts from around the world. From April 1 – April 6, visitors touched down at Lakeland Linder International Airport (KLAL) in Lakeland, Florida, to participate in the second-largest aviation expo. The event brought together thrilling airshows, educational forums, 500 exhibitor booths, entertainment, hands-on workshops, static displays of aircraft, career fairs, and more. It was an action-packed week with opportunities to fuel minds and elevate the aviation community.
Engaging with the Aviation Community

Delivering Expertise and Insight in Lakeland, Florida
Keith Clark, Senior Quality Control & Technical Support Rep, Phillips 66® Aviation, and Steven Strollo, Field Engineer, Phillips 66® Lubricants, took center stage at this year’s SUN ‘n FUN, leading five impactful educational forums. These sessions covered Piston Aviation Engine Oil: Dispelling the Myths, V F T: Before You Takeoff…, and Bob Hoover: Pilot, Educator and Legend.
Recently honored with the Phillips 66® Aviation Safe Sky Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to fuel safety, Keith Clark was featured on Florida Aviation Network and SUN ‘n FUN Radio. In his interview with Florida Aviation Network TV host Ron Timmermans, he discussed the dangers of misfueling and how to prevent it. On SUN ‘n FUN Radio, he emphasized the importance of clear communication between pilots and FBOs to verify fuel types—an essential part of the Save a Life, Verify Fuel Type public awareness campaign he spearheaded. During Steven’s sessions, he discussed viscosity, the major functions of lubricant, aviation engine oil specifications, the differences between multi-grade and single-grade engine oils, and the differences between over-the-road and aviation engine oils.
