New Management at Sebring Flight Center (SEF) Boosts Customer Service
/Sebring Flight Center, the most recent addition to the Avfuel network of branded FBOs and contract fuel agents, is now under the management of ABS Aviation Management Services. On Oct. 1, 2009, ABS Aviation Management Services took over all day-to-day activities including customer relations, training, safety, fuel quality control, ordering and pricing. Most notably, the new management has dramatically revised the FBO’s customer service philosophy to include the assurance that all aircraft visiting the Sebring Flight Center are met and greeted upon arrival.
“Visitors to Sebring Flight Center will immediately notice the FBO’s new proficiency in customer service and attention to detail. Because of this new focus, aircraft bound for the area can now land here and receive the same quality of service and amenities that they would expect in any large metropolitan area — and without the traffic,” said ABS Aviation Management Services managing director Michael A. Hodges.
Sebring Flight Center is currently gearing up for the annual racing event, The 12 Hours of Sebring, which will occur March 18-21, 2009, at the adjoining Sebring International Raceway. The 12 Hours of Sebring is a major international race event that draws visitors from all over the world to the Sebring Regional Airport (SEF). For this event, Sebring Flight Center is offering special ramp lighting and markings, hangar space, tugs, ground power, and 24-hour security. Complimentary transportation to both the raceway and nearby hotels will be provided. The FBO will also offer a concierge tent at the raceway during the event for the convenience of FBO customers to arrange fuel, catering and other reservations.
“During race week, we’ll be running a number of promotions and special discounts for race teams and sponsors,” said Hodges, who points out that many of the 12 Hours of Sebring sponsors are already Avfuel Contract Fuel customers.
Hodges explains that in the past, corporate aircraft attending the event often flew into distant cities like Tampa or Orlando for the sake of utilizing complete FBO offerings. Now, Sebring can compete with all of these world-class FBOs.
ABS Aviation Management Services spends countless hours training employees through their experienced staff of FBO professionals. In fact, during the management transition of the FBO, staff training was performed by ABS employees who were the original developers of what is now the NATA Safety 1st program. In addition to the Sebring Flight Center, ABS is also responsible for fueling services and quality control for military training exercises at MacDill AFB Auxiliary Field.
